
| After studying film and video in Ireland's College of Marketing and Design, James worked with a series of Irish photographers gaining experience both in the studio and on location. He then assisted international photographer Perry Ogden before pursuing his own career. He is now based in the Kildare countryside just outside Dublin, where his purpose-built north and south-facing studio takes advantage of Ireland's unique daylight. He specializes in interiors, portraiture, fashion and travel photography, working with leading publications worldwide. His knowledge of locations both in Ireland and abroad is highly prized and includes tumbling Irish mansions and lost woodlands to ancient Sri Lankan temples and Mexican villas. He is currently working on images for five different books. James lives in a converted stables in his parents garden with his wife Jo, their daughters Bella (2) and Mimi (1) and dog Benga.
